L'Atelier des Créateurs

About Us

The son and grandson of tailors, Gilles Zeitoun has always had a respect and passion for craftsmanship and the safeguarding of artisanal know-how. When he sought to establish his own atelier, it was in Porto, a city famous for its tailors, that he found the centuries-old tradition and know-how that no longer existed in France. In 2007, Gilles began his search for a space in downtown Porto to create his atelier. There, he discovered an old, dilapidated theater from 1903, a historic building listed as part of the city's artistic and architectural heritage. Determined to restore it to its former glory, he undertook a meticulous renovation of the theater, transforming it into a state-of-the-art atelier. With a successful career in the insurance sector, Gilles has always been dedicated to preserving craftsmanship. His commitment is also evident through his involvement with the Grands Ateliers de France, an organization devoted to safeguarding artisanal excellence.
